Vintage Avon 1954


These vibrant shades of nail enamel and lipsticks all came from the 1954 Avon Collection. The Avon company was started by David H. McConnell in 1886. However, back then it was known as the California Perfume Company. In 1906, the California office was destroyed by an earthquake. That same year, 1906, was the year that Avon ads first appear in Good Housekeeping magazine. In 1939, the company name was changed to Avon Products, Inc.
